This will be the first posting on my new site, and I couldn't be more excited. The old site was ok, but was lacking in what I wanted. I'm not a professional web designer, so building my entire site in Dreamweaver was just tiresome, despite how simple it might have been. But it just didn't have what I wanted.
By switching to a blog format, I can more easily display my portfolio and receive productive and constructive feedback on my work. I'm also able to share news on new and upcoming projects more easily by blogging about it. The ease of use and ability to add pre-made widgets without needing to code them all myself is also a huge plus.
So, here's where I pitch ME. My name is Dave and I create stuff. I specialize in typography, logo design, and photo manipulation. I also dabble in photography from time to time, among other things. I love all types of art, have recently found an interest in painting, and hope to display my paintings on the site for purchase once I get a good amount completed.
As for now, I'll be posting small updates on the projects I'm currently working on, and continue to add finished pieces to my site. Please feel free to contact me if you need work done, if you are an aspiring designer and have questions, or if you'd just like to network.
